Prepare to be wowed! Hiking on the trail through Cape Scott Provincial Park reveals the heart of Northern Vancouver Island - the real wilderness experience.

Various species of birds provide a flying escort and serenade through the moss cloaked forests of red and yellow cedar, hemlock, lodgepole pine, and true Fir. Although the trail to San Josef Bay, the southern most part of the Cape Scott Provincial Park, is mostly flat and easily navigated, beyond San Jo is a primitive and at times demanding trail which makes for some challenging hiking.

The Cape Scott Provincial Park is home to a variety of animals including Black Bears, Cougars, Wolves, Elk, and Deer. When hiking the coastal trails be sure to look out for sea otters bobbing in the ocean swells wrapped in kelp.
