The Palmerston Reserve shelter is situated on the West Coast of Northern Vancouver Island and is a great place to either enjoy the scenery before you or to watch as Grey Whales make their way between Alaska and California.
Although the hut was specifically set up for those in need of emergency supplies and shelter it is in a great area to spend a few hours beach combing or storm watching even on a crisp fall or winters day. It is important however, to leave the shelter as you find it (ie with the front door closed and leave the food supplies for those with a real emergency).
