Johnstone Strait Sailing Northern Vancouver Island
Photo & Vacation Spot

Sandwiched between the Mainland and Northern Vancouver Island, the Queen Charlotte and Johnstone and Straits are scenic sailing destinations in BC, Canada.

As far as sailing vacations go, the Inside Passage is one of the most stunning and scenic locations in BC. Johnstone Strait is a narrow passage of water between Campbell River and Telegraph Cove which starts at the northern end of the Discovery Passage - it is also a part of the Inside Passage.

Although during the summer months Johnstone Strait is a busy passage for cruise ships en-route to Alaska, there are a number of channels and islands which offer protected and safe moorage for sailing enthusiasts!
